Each skill should be given at least one point and the ones in BOLD should be given two points. For each character I will detail how their attribute points should be distributed as well as what skills they should be given.
WASTELAND 3 CHARACTER BUILDS HOW TO
Max Carry Weight - Determines how much equipment a character can carry without being slowed down, each items weight value can be found on the inventory screen.ĬON per Level - How much a character's HP will go up when they gain a level.īelow I will give you details on how to build your party, this is only a suggestion but I find it to provide the best performance. Survival Points/LVL - Determines how many SP you have to spend on your character every time they level up. A higher combat speed means more ground can be covered before an Action Point is used up. A high CI for all characters may seem optimal however you only want it for a couple of your party members, the main reason for this being that if your enemies move first it means they close the gap between you and waste their AP allowing you to strike first.Ĭhance to Evade - Characters dodge chance.Ĭombat Speed - Determines how much AP is spent while moving. Melee Critical Hit Bonus - Increases chances of getting a critical with melee weaponsĬombat Initiative - This stat determines who acts first when compared with all allies and enemies. Ranged Critical Hit Bonus - Increases chances of getting a critical with ranged weapons

Unspent AP can roll over into subsequent turns, 2 AP unspent converts to 1 the next turn, 3 to 2 etc. Every action your characters make consumes AP and once their AP reaches zero, their turn will end. On top of the above attributes your characters will also be broken down with the following statisticsĪction Points - Action Points are what Wasteland 2's turn based system runs on. Many characters through the game can only be added to your party through a Charisma check which is done by adding up the total of your parties Charisma points. Higher Intelligence also allows your characters to read more difficult books providing them with skill boosts, each character should aim for at least 4 points into this attribute to gain 3 Survival Points per level, higher numbers are possible but the attribute points are much better spent elsewhere.Ĭharisma - Increases the range of a characters Leadership skill. Intelligence - The higher your characters Intelligence the more Survival Points your character will gain upon leveling up. Speed - Primarily dictates the amount of distance a character can cover per Action Point, the higher your speed the more ground you will be able to cover. Strength - Increases your characters base Constitution and increases damage with melee weapons, as well as your characters ability to carry more equipment. Awareness also increases your chance to dodge attacks as well as increasing your characters sight range. The collective total of your parties Luck also influences the amount of ammunition and loot you may find in chests along your journey.Īwareness - Awareness is one of your more important attributes as it directly influences how often your character gets the chance to act in battle. Luck - Increases your chances of both hitting and dodging, Luck can also award your character more Constitution (more on this later) points when leveling up.
